The Impact of Innovation on Organizational Process Maturity – Research Concept

Abstract:

The article consists of three parts. The first part covers the characteristics of process maturity, presents a comparison of process mature and process immature organizations, and introduces the models of process maturity. The second part of the study focuses on the definition of innovation and its typology according to the Oslo Manual. The final part includes a proposal for a research model which would verify the phase of the organization's involvement in shaping the process maturity model depending on the type of innovation. The article is an attempt to identify hypotheses and research questions that can be used in potential empirical research.
