The Impact of Long-term Distance Learning on Children’s Education and Behaviour in Public Primary Schools (Case Study)

Abstract:

The COVID-19 pandemic surprised the world. It was a difficult time for society worldwide. The time of pandemic provided many experiences on a personal and professional level. The education sector was greatly affected by this phenomenon, as it has triggered changes in education in most countries around the world. The article briefly characterises education in Poland and addresses issues related to distance learning. In the empirical part, surveys were conducted, the aim of which was to present the views of teachers, parents and students on distance learning. An attempt was also made to determine the impact of prolonged remote learning on students’ level of learning and behaviour. Teachers’ and parents’ views on school-parent collaboration during the pandemic were also contrasted.
