The Impact of Organizational Culture on the Competitiveness of Organizations in the Current Context

Abstract:

In the current economic environment, businesses have to differentiate themselves from competition through a continuous and consistent concern to increase the prosperity of the organization and all the key actors involved in its work in order to create a high competitiveness. The concept of organizational culture is used to explain phenomena that occur within organizations, such as: creating a hierarchy of values, inter-human relationships, configuring the information system, determining fundamental attitudes towards changes in the external and internal environment. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the importance of organizational culture and its role in the competitiveness of an organization. In today’s economic context one of the key characteristics for the competitiveness of an organization is its innovation capability. The research results presented in this paper highlight also the role of organization culture in creating an innovation culture within the organization.
