Abstract:
The article outlines important aspects of the Spanish economy affecting the development and operation of entrepreneurship, particularly startups. Startups, as an increasingly emerging form of business creation, require an appropriate business environment that is highly sensitive to economic changes (the economic system) and, in particular, to investment security or business confidence. The aim of the study is to try to show that the economic crisis in Spain has significantly reduced the operation and creation of startups in the country. The results of the study show support for the thesis that any change, including the economic system, can create both opportunities and threats for business entities. However, Spain's economic crisis has negatively affected startups and their environment
