Abstract:
Rural development policy is an important component of the Common Agricultural Policy. LEADER is an innovative approach to rural development policy within the European Union, helping to improve the quality of life in rural areas.
In the present paper we intend to highlight the role of LAGs in the Romanian rural development policy through a case study at a LAG in Prahova County. It analyzes the measures proposed under the local development strategy, the number of projects submitted and implemented by each measure and overall absorption of LAG Colinele Prahovei.
