Abstract:

Purpose __ Researches on tourism found that residents perceptions of tourism impact affect residents life satisfaction. Studies found that different places characteristic could give different impact. Moreover, residents life satisfaction could affect their support for  sustainable tourism development. This study aims to examine the relation between tourism impacts on residents life satisfaction, as well as their support for sus tainable tourism development in yogyakarta.
Design/Methodology/Method __ This study was conducted using quantitative approach with survey method and data was collected using questionnaire. The survey involved 250 respondents. The respondents were residents of Yogyakarta who live near the tourism objects. Data was analyzed by using multiple regression.
