The Impact of Transformational Training Programs on Employee Loyalty: A Structural Equation Modeling

Abstract:

This study aimed to investigate the impact of transformational training programs on the loyalty of employees. The research sample consisted entirely of employees working in private Jordanian universities (deans, heads of departments and faculty members). The sample was obtained by simple random sampling to avoid bias. The total sample comprised 625 university employees. The study applied both inferential and descriptive statistics in data analysis. SPSS and AMOS were used to do the analysis. The study revealed that there is significant relationship between Reaction and Loyalty to supervisor, Loyalty to working group and Loyalty to organization; there is a significant relationship between Behavior and the Loyalty to supervisor, Loyalty to working group and Loyalty to organization; there is a significant relationship between Results and Loyalty to supervisor and Loyalty to working group and Loyalty to organization. Finally, the results found that there is an insignificant relationship between Behavior and Loyalty to supervisor, Loyalty to working group and Loyalty to organization. The study recommends the extension of this research to examine the moderating role of employees’ satisfaction on the relationship between transformational training programs and employees’ loyalty.
