Abstract:

This paper aims to assess the impact of young people neither in employment nor in education or training on the people at risk of poverty rate after social transfers in the European Union, given that the unemployment rate, the educational system deficiencies, includind the isuues related to the lack of correlation between educational skills and those needed on the labour market have intensified the impact of the economic and financial crisis in the EU member states. The variables used cover the 2010-2016 period for the 28 member states of the European Union, given the limited availability of data. The model was estimated using Panel Estimated Generalized Least Squares.
