The Importance of Ecological Tourism in the Context of Hotel and Restaurant Business Management in the Conditions of Stability of Ecosystems of Territories

Abstract:

Comprehensive implementation of the concept of sustainable development makes ecotourism more and more important every year. Efficient and rational use of resource potential and optimal solution of regional development problems are the two most important goals of the sustainable development strategy for any territory. These two goals would be realized in the development of ecological tourism, which will preserve the unique beauty of natural areas, reduce anthropogenic pressure on the environment, increase the younger generation’s knowledge of nature and experience with it, improve the welfare of local people and more. That is, ecological tourism can be called sustainable ecologically balanced tourism. Due to the prospects for the development of ecotourism in Ukraine, it is interesting to interpret the concept of ecotourism adopted in international documents, its principles and criteria, the study of the relationship between the concepts of ecotourism and sustainable tourism.
