Abstract:
The paper analyses the performance of management in public services and is oriented on the operational side, aiming at improving the management of public services and the instruments that measure its effectiveness. The increase of the operational performance of management is approached by a research methodology that allows for the evaluation of the effectiveness of public services, based on a comparative analysis and specific indicators of performance, whose result is to improve the initial offering of public authorities. This article highlights the main results obtained from emplementing a performance management at different levels, using modern technology as a tool necessary to achieve the objectives set by EU Directives, where the citizen is placed at the centre of the administration.
