Abstract:
In this paper it is desired to investigate whether the direct payments, granted through the EAGF, in Romania, can have implications on the economic situation of agriculture, respectively on the value of production in different sectors of agriculture or even the value of the production of the whole branch. The research hypothesis is that, in Romania, given the structure of the agricultural sector, direct payments positively and with an average intensity affect the value of agricultural production. With the help of statistical data on the values of agricultural production and direct payments and by correlating them and determining a simple linear regression, it was found that, indeed, direct payments positively and with a medium to strong intensity, influence the value of the production of the whole agricultural branch in Romania.
