The Influence of Insolvency Rate and Some Macroeconomic Factors on the Entrepreneurship in Europe

Abstract:

Giving the economic crises in Europe and the world, we can asses that entrepreneurship is widely affected. We conducted a study in order to see the link between the level of insolvency rate and entrepreneurship, but we also included in the study macroeconomics phenomena like GDP growth, inflation and unemployment, those being connected to entrepreneurship. The study refers to three different levels (european level, advanced countries in Europe and emerging countries in Europe) and to a period of seven years. We found some differences regarding the link between entrepreneurship expressed through the enterprise birth rate and the other variables. We also concluded that, even though the number of advanced countries in Europe is larger that the one of emerging countries, the later has a high influence on the medium level registered for the entire European Union.
