Abstract:
Innovation is an important part of any organisation. Nowadays, organisations are keen to learn to improve themselve by creating knowledge. Using knowledge creation tools are another aspect for assessing innovation inside an organisation. However, it is not obvious whether using knowledge creation tools in a learning organisation can lead to successful innovation inside an organisation. Previous studies have focused on the knowledge creation process and not the tools. The main purpose of this study is to investigate whether the knowledge creation tools used in learning organisations successfully promote organisation innovation, more specifically improving the innovation team. This inprogress research will conduct questionnaires at learning organisations. It will investigate the use of knowledge creation tools and better understand their contribution to a successful innovation team. The results will assist management to assure best practices for innovation teams that use knowledge creation tools in learning organisations.
