Abstract:
This study investigates the influence of workplace and supervisor support on employee well-being in start-up companies in Indonesia. A quantitative method was used and data was collected via online and offline questionnaires. The questionnaire included 19 indicators from Jang’s research (2009). Respondents were selected based on non-probability, purposive sampling and had to be current employees of a start-up company with a flexible work schedule policy. After distributing the questionnaires for two months, 224 out of 228 completed questionnaires were kept for analysis. Results from data processed using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method using the Lisrel 8.8 program, demonstrates that workplace and supervisor support does not directly influence employee well-being. They need flexibility of work schedule and work life balance as mediation. This study also examined the one-by-one relationship between variables and the research results for all hypotheses considered significantly positive; all hypotheses were accepted.
