Abstract:

The growing number of Internet users and social media makes, it hard to belittle their meaning in business. The potential of social media can be used in various activities carried out by private individuals as well as enterprises or non-profit organizations. The recruitment process is one of the examples that is increasingly implemented using the potential of the Internet and social media. Both: employees look for job offers on the Internet, as well as employers themselves reach for this form of acquiring the right candidates. The aim of the article is to characterize the potential of social media and the presentation of the recruitment process. In addition, the paper presents the results of research among jobseekers, which shows that the Internet and social media, especially those that give the opportunity to search for new jobs on the local and regional market, are most often used by people seeking employment. In addition, the respondents are of the opinion that the range of contemporary communication channels is much better than standard job offers presented in the press or TV / Radio.
