The Mediating Role of Organizational Culture on the Relationship between Investments in Green Technology and Customer Satisfaction. Evidence from Romania

Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the mediating role of organizational culture on the relationship between investments in green technology and customer satisfaction. The authors used a questionnaire containing 35 items, collected data using the snowball sampling, coded the variable using SPSS 20.0 Software, statistically analysed the data and tested the hypotheses. The results pointed out that the investments in green technology will positively affect the customer satisfaction. Our findings indicate that organizational culture played a partially mediating role acting as a significant intermediate variable between investments in green technology and customer satisfaction. The organizational culture will positively affect the customer satisfaction. However, the results should be interpreted with caution because the study analysed only perceptions of a small number of hotel guests (92) about their experience in a Romanian hotel; the authors selected a small number of items that have been averaged in order to represent the three variables from this paper.
