Abstract:
Creativity and innovation are to be a critical factor for both individuals and organizations to achieve competitive advantage and sustainability. In a highly competitive and global environment, knowledge and its quality play a significant role in generating novel ideas and improving creativity. Moreover, effective sharing and use of knowledge within an organization is likely to increase innovative and efficient capability. A number of studies have examined the relationship between network ties and job performance based on social network theory. However, there are few studies to investigate the relationship between network ties and generating creative ideas from the knowledge point of view. The purpose of this research, therefore, is to investigate relationship between online network tie, knowledge and creativity.
