The Perspectives of Demographic Changes in the Central European Labour Market

Abstract:

Changes in the number of a population have a significant impact on the demographic structure of the country and affect society’s functioning. Although these changes are longitudinal, the demand for actions, affecting the future, is immediate due the long-term approval process. In the study were studied structures of population in Central Europe and age-related policies with focus on the labour market. It was found out that the impact of pension reforms has various effects on the participation rate of seniors aged 65-74. The paper suggests potential areas of development of the labour market to be able to react on the structural changes of the society.
