Abstract:

In recent years, phenomenon of greenwashing has attracted considerable attention in academic research. This is driven by the growing pressure to pursue sustainable development and, consequently, by attempts to circumvent relevant regulations. This article provides a bibliometric analysis on greenwashing in order to identify the main research themes and the relationships among them. The findings enabled the identification of major research trends and the selection of representative publications within each identified research stream. The results indicate that greenwashing is a broad and multidimensional research area that spans various industries and is examined from multiple perspectives.
