The Phenomenon of Students’ Work Precarisation in an International Perspective. A Comparative Analysis of Work Experience of Polish, Czech and Slovak Academic Youth

Abstract:

The issue of young people coping with the reality of work is now recognised as one of the most important problems of collective life in many countries. The process of introducing younger generations to professional duties is fundamental by its very nature as it is associated with ensuring intergenerational continuity of social structures. However, the above issue has gained additional importance in the face of the increasing economic globalization, work automation (Fleming 2018; Therborn 2013) as well as the consequences of the financial crisis of 2008 (Santamaria 2019).
