Abstract:
As a result of the worldwide impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, companies and their employees are facing a number of challenges. Not only in the field of work, but in all spheres of life, fundamental changes have taken place. The home office has become the most significant. The aim of this article is to summarize the positives and negatives of the home office from the perspective of both the employee and the employer in the pandemic years 2020 and 2021. The partial objectives are to find out how Generation Z feels about the home office and to provide a picture of the future of home office use, all in the Czech Republic. In order to meet the objectives, the methods of analysis and research of quantitative and qualitative published print and e-information on the area under study, content analysis and descriptive statistics with second-level gender classification, as well as the methods of comparison, synthesis, induction and deduction were used. The output of the paper is an overview of the positives and negatives of the home office from the employee and employer perspective, including the Generation Z perspective, as well as a reflection on the future of the home office.
