Abstract:

The article presents the results of research on the safety of transportation of dangerous goods in Poland. The volume of the goods transported by roads is constantly growing, and this fact also causes an increase in the number of threats. The road transportation system in Poland, despite the adoption of legal regulations, does not function properly. To prevent this fact, the road transportation system should operate in an efficient and effective manner. Its objective is to ensure a smooth and safe transportation process. This is achieved through the proper use of road infrastructure and vehicles and the efficient handling of emerging difficulties: legal, technical and organisational.
