Abstract:
Car sharing (CS) has been present on the Polish market for roughly 3 years. This period has seen an almost threefold increase in the amount of available vehicles, and the number of cities covered by the service has risen to 10. CS companies have also introduced electric vehicles to Polish roads. The continuous increase in downloads of the respective mobile applications suggests a rising demand for this form of travel. This article aims to analyse the development of such services, to compare service profiles of various car sharing companies, and to perform a SWOT analysis. An examination of primary and secondary sources will provide a quantitative study of essential data regarding the respective fleet sizes, user application ratings, and the number of cities in which the service has been introduced.
