The Regional Analysis of Quantitative and Qualitative Changes of the Romanian Wine Market

Abstract:

Romania has few wine manufactories that share almost half of the total of wine sales. These companies made important investment in the last years, which lead to increase of their competitiveness on the Romanian wine market. With new lines of production, bringing new technology for either for production and distribution, promoting their brand on national and international markets, taking account for the consumer preferences, these companies strength their position on the market and seems to have an important role on the wine market in the near future.  This paper analyse the recent changes on the Romanian wine market, which is affected by important changes at production level. The research method is based on quantitative and qualitative analyse of the Romanian market on the regional level. The paper underlines the role of Romania as an important wine-producing country in Europe, and presents the recent evolution on this market, in terms of production, consumption and other related aspects.
