The Relation between Strategic Approach and Operational Risk Recognized in Strategy Implementation Process

Abstract:

This study examines the relation between the strategic approach towards the environmental changes and the operational risk factors that are involved in strategy execution process. The research results did not revealed any relationship between the level of operational risk and the strategic approach adopted by the company. However, two constructs can be identified as those where the risk is increased - these are employees and measures. Different types of strategic approaches present varied levels of operational risk in constructs. That is a managerial implication that enriches our knowledge on the drivers having impact on the effectiveness of the strategy execution process, exploring the perspective of environmental changes and the approach towards shaping them.
