Abstract:
Revolution of industry 4.0 led to rapid changes in various fields of life, including the world of education and 21st-Century skills are required to meet the demand of it. As education has been transformed from pedagogy to andragogy and heutagogy learning, students should be able to think critically and solve problems, creative and innovative as well as communication and collaboration skills. From information science perspectives, these skills should be incorporated with digital literacy skills where students be able to find, manage, and use information and skilled use information technology. However, previous studies found that with digital literacy will lead to less motivation and student to become a more independent learner. Based on the literature review, this paper aims to propose a conceptual research framework for the relationship between heutagogy learning and student motivation among secondary school students. Besides, digital literacy skill is introduced to gain understanding, to what extent, it has a moderating relationship between the independent variables and dependent variable. Its hope that this proposed framework can argue in heutagogy learning necessary understanding of digital literacy skill to enhance student motivation
