Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to explore the role trust and integrity on community happiness and the mediating effect of police performance on these relationships in the context of the UAE community of Baniyas, in the district of Al Shamkha. Community policing exists to carry out the job privileges, but the police are interacting in a working condition. The police are stressed by the police inspectors (internal components) and the components within the community (external components). There are many benefits of having community policing in place especially when the community consists of diverse nationalities as it enables better relationship and increases communication between inhabitants and the police. It also reduces the burden on courts as minor offences like skipped checks of feeble esteems or non-authorized drinking of liquor, are handled at the community police level, leaving the police organization with more resources to deal with perilous cases
