Abstract:
This study examines the relation between external drivers represented by strategic approach towards the environmental changes and the level of strategic goals achievement. The research results confirmed that in case of the two approaches (visionary and classical) we may observe higher degree of strategic goals achievement. Thus, the research results suggest that the ability to predict the changes in the environment may be one of the drivers that influence the level of strategic goals achievement. This study enriches our knowledge on the implications of different drivers enabling the strategic goals accomplishment exploring the external perspective of environmental changes. The approach towards those changes is represented by managerial capabilities (ability to anticipate, ability to affect and ability to survive). The research revealed that the first ability should be considered as the most important one, because in that case higher level of strategic goals achievement was observed.
