The Relationship between Worklife Conflict, Emotional Exhaustion, Job Embededness and Organizational Citizenship Behavior: A Case of Worker in Greater Jakarta

Abstract:

This research aims to investigate the influence of worklife conflict on job embeddedness and organizational citizenship behavior mediated by emotional exhaustion. 196 employees from various organizations were participated in this study. The data was collected using questionnaire and then analyzed using structural equation modelling technique. The results show that worklife conflict positively influence emotional exhaustion. Worklife conflict is also found negatively influence organizational citizenship behavior but has no relationship with job embeddedness. In additions, the research also found that there are no relationships between emotional exhaustion and organizational behavior as well as job embeddedness. No mediation occurred in this model. As a conclusion this research suggests that high worklife conflict can increase emotional exhaustion and it can also decrease organizational behavior among the respondents.
