Abstract:
The EU climate and energy policy is a key stimulus for building a low-emission economy, promoting environmentally friendly technologies and creating "green" jobs. The implementation of the sustainable development concept shapes the chances of not only maintaining a long-term growth path, but also changes in the employment structure. The purpose of the article is to present the possibilities of creating green jobs in the sector of renewable energy sources in Poland. The article presents the results of empirical research on the implementation of green jobs in individual provinces and in selected areas of renewable energy. The importance of macroeconomic and social factors on the development of the green labor market has been demonstrated. Panel regression was used in the study. The time range covers the years 2000-2016.
