Abstract:
Knowledge management (KM) is considered as pathway for organizations that pursue to manage organizational and individual knowledge better which in turn will empower these organizations to deal and adapt more successfully with the pitfalls of the new turbulent business environment. KM is viewed as a key driver in realizing and sustaining organizational endeavor for improved efficiency, effectiveness, creativity and competitiveness. As key enablers for KM projects, the cloud computing technologies are considered valuable resources for guaranteeing the success of these projects. This paper attempts to present a conceptual framework that integrates the knowledge management processes (discovery, capture, sharing, and application) with Four layers of cloud computing services model (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and KMaaS). It is anticipated that the application of the proposed framework by knowledge-intensive businesses will empower them staying competitive, adding value, enhancing organizational learning and meeting business challenges in knowledge economy era. As a result, the proposed framework can assist knowledge workers in the areas of decision making, planning and solving business problems through knowledge production, retrieval, preservation, distribution, and application procedures.
