The Role of Economic Values in the System of Values and Anti-Values of High School Students

Abstract:

Russian society is witnessing the emergence of civic activism. This affects the sphere of Russian education, where the issue of civic education and the formation of the individual as a citizen is extremely significant. The developing functions of educational institutions are used to form an active and useful citizen for society, not only from the point of view of one’s professional competence, but also from the point of view of one’s value priorities, civil, spiritual and moral positions. For psychological science, the problem of becoming an individual as a citizen has a special scientific and social significance. The chosen research approach was aimed at studying civic, moral and economic values and anti-values of schoolchildren in sociocultural conditions of Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic, the Russian Federation. The research focuses attention on a group of the population of schoolchildren of 12-17 years old. The study involved 200 schoolchildren.
