Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of transformational leadership on employee performance, both directly and indirectly through the organizational climate. Previous research on transformational leadership tended to focus on business organizations and left public institutions, particularly government organizations, out. A total of 252 personnel from the Education Office in Gorontalo Province were surveyed for this study. The data was collected using a Likert scale questionnaire, and the analytical tool utilized to address the study's objectives was Partial Least Squares (PLS). The findings of this study reveal that leadership has a positive and significant effect on improving employee performance. This finding also shows that transformational leadership has a positive effect on organizational climate. then organizational climate has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. So that in this study organizational climate can mediate the effect of transformational leadership on employee performance.
