The Role of Organizational Culture in Improving the Performance of Banking Organizations

Abstract:

Our article aims to analyze how organizational culture influences the performance of banking organizations. Many times it is difficult to improve the performance of the bank and to increase the level of motivation of the employees, because it aims to make a short-term profit, without the decision-makers concerned about the satisfaction of the employees. Our research was conducted on a sample of 188 employees in the banking field. The results of our research showed that coaching sessions have the greatest influence on performance management, while organizational culture has a positive influence, but to a lesser extent. We can say that in the banking system there is a concern for staff training in case of major changes that can have a major impact on performance, because the way the changes in the performance management system are managed can be considered as an element of influence of the culture of banking organizations. If the training process does not take place on an annual basis in all organizations in the banking system or in particular in all departments of a bank, in the near future the performance could be significantly reduced.
