Abstract:

Equipment monitoring and diagnosis systems have become fundamental elements of production management. This paper presents production management in a manufacturing company, with a focus on operational and strategic decisions and their impact on production planning and control. The proposed operational decision-making support system consists of one measurement sensor and two tools for extracting production equipment performance characteristics from the measured signals. Implemented in production, it will provide performance data describing technical objects executing production processes, which could set the foundation for a more elaborate production management tool that would increase the competitiveness of an enterprise in the modern market.
