The Safety Standards Protecting against the Covid-19 Disease in Communal Cultural Institutions in Poland as Exemplified by Selected Communes

Abstract:

The COVID-19 pandemic has "forced" employers to react promptly and on an on-going basis to the changing legal status of regulations governing the functioning of workplaces in the era of the pandemic. The main objective of the legislative measures was and still is to support employers and employees in the fight against the negative effects of the pandemic. This also applies to communal cultural institutions. Prophylactic actions related to preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus are aimed at identifying methods to reduce the risk of infection transmission in publicinstitutions. They focus, among others, on the adoption of Covid-19-related safety procedures defining the principles and courses of safety measures applied on the premises of individual institutions.

The main objective of the paper is to define and systematise the principles of conducting activities by communal cultural institutions in Poland in the era of the pandemic in the context of actions taken to reduce the risk of virus transmission. The analysis of applicable normative acts and internal regulations in specific institutions made it possible to conclude that effective protection against the spread of the virus was guaranteed in communal cultural institutions, in relations among institutions’ employees and with persons using their services.
