Abstract:

Modern medicine is dynamically and rapidly developing, which is directly related to its social aspect. Medicine is reaching a completely new level. The result of this is an increase in the duration, quality of life of people due to modern innovative technologies. Thanks to modern innovative technologies, medical rehabilitation returns the health of tens of thousands of patients every day. This is very significant both for the person who suffered a disease or injury, and for the state. Currently in the Russian Federation the number of disabled people exceeds 12 million people, among which 1 433 000 of 1 group, 5356 000 of 2 group, 4 488 000 of 3 group.

The number of persons with disabilities living in the Chuvash Republic is 84,600 people, which is 7% of the total population (1.2 million people). Moreover, 12.3% of persons with disabilities over 18 years of age have 1 group of disability, group 2 - 35.3% and Group 3 - 52.4%. Of the total number of disabled persons, persons over 60 years old make up 57.3%, from 18 to 30 years old - 4.6%.
