Abstract:

This contribution will present detailed analysis of unemployment rate in context of selected countries of European Union. This analysis will be confronted with the economy of Slovak Republic in order to secure sustainable development and at the same time, comparisons will be made in order to predict the development of this particular macroeconomic indicator in conditions of country with similar historical, cultural and social evolution, such as Czech Republic.
