The Status of Pregnant Women (Employees) in Employment Relations in Slovakia

Abstract:

Pregnant women and mothers belong among those employees who are eligible for greater protection and help in employment relations. The protection of health in question and adjustment of work conditions are set in the Labour Code. Every employer should be aware of all duties and rights as well as limitations which concern pregnant employees. That is why this paper shows the status of a pregnant woman as an employee in relation to her employer, as well as the attitude of the employer towards such an employee.
