Abstract:

This paper describes the basic principles of SSM approach (Soft Systems Methodology). The methodology, its stages and its limitation are explained. Besides the document presents another methodology which is SISTeM (Soft Information systems and Technologies Methodology). The two cycles and the principles of SISTeM are provided in details and illustrated by a diagram. The main purpose of this paper is to compare between the two approaches regarding their principles; a brief comparison will be provided.
