The Study of Technology Management Competencies as Predictor of Job Satisfaction of Pakistani University Librarians

Abstract:

Contemporary research literature advocates the significant implications of TMC and JS towards performance. However, LIS research literature is limited on these two important constructs. In particular, research on the association of TMC with JS of Pakistani university librarians is nonexistent. As a result, the present research study aims at determining the association of TMC with JS of Pakistani university librarians. This study utilized quantitative method to test the research hypotheses that hypothesized the association of TMC with JS. Survey method was used to gather the data from a randomly selected sample of Pakistani university librarians. The correlation analysis was utilized to explore the four dimensions of TMC as correlates of JS. Further, regression analysis was used to test the research hypotheses and examine TMC as predictors of JS. All research hypotheses are supported. The results of the present research study showed TMC as significant predictors of JS of Pakistani university librarians. Results further showed IAS as the strongest predictor of JS while LCMS as the weakest contributor of JS.
