Abstract:

Health tourism has become a major segment of the international tourist market, to which the material and human means are oriented, with more profound involvement of science and technology, providing travel and medical services of a comprehensive high quality, required to meet the requirements of the modern man, determined by the changes in living conditions and health of the population. Under the conditions of modern tourism a continuous increase in demand for medical spa treatments, reflected by the significant growth in the number of beneficiaries, in most countries where there are certain natural factors for medical treatment, attractive enough to help promote this form of tourism. In Europe, sustainable development is a priority. In tourism, certain measures have been taken to stimulate it on the European level because tourism is believed to contribute to the economic re-launching of the EU Member States. An increasingly important place is held in tourism by the health or medical tourism.
