The System Theory and System Analysis Applications in IT Projects Management: Development of Hardware and Software Complex for Predicting Failures in Data Storage Systems

Abstract:

At the present time when working with data storage systems (DSS) users may need to satisfy a number of performance requirements, reliability requirements, fault tolerance specifications and other parameters. This is important for predicting failures and selecting response options for a particular critical situation. This paper shows the need to apply methods and models of system theory and system analysis in the IT project management for the development of  a hardware and software complex to predict failures in the storage system in order to prevent critical situations, including performance degradation, failure of the data write/read service and data loss.
