Abstract:

In the period of the variable economy the stability of mini-economic systems is getting one of the main categories that should be subjected to research and management. However, to date there is no single approach to the definition of this conceptual category. Often, the identification of the concepts of financial stability and economic sustainability occurs. In addition the approaches to the definition do not take into account the dynamism of the enterprise's environment. The article examines the conceptual differences between financial and economic stability, which are the basis of the author's definition of the conceptual categories of "economic sustainability" and "sustainable economic development", on basis of the conducted analysis.
