Abstract:
Nowadays, the concepts of information sharing and open data offer important benefits for success in academia and business world. In this regard, the aim of the present article is to analyze the concepts of open data and information sharing. To reach this aim, the authors use qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as bibliometric analysis conducted using NVivo software, research paper analysis performed using Word Frequency Criteria, clustering analysis, and other research methods.
The authors conclude that based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the scientific literature it is possible to determine the main principles of information sharing in the majority of industries: third-party institution, personal gain, long-term results and openness, and transparency of the sharing process.
