Abstract:
Industry 4.0 puts new enterprises against modern challenges and priorities. The Industry 4.0 concept assumes full integration of all areas of business activity. This integration should take place with the use of broadly understood information technology, both real and virtual. Polish enterprises from the SME sector are aware of the need to implement the Industry 4.0 concept. However, very often, there are barriers to organizational changes, employment, understanding the advantages of IoT, or the high cost of implementation. It is, therefore, necessary to diagnose the current state. The article aims to check the current state of Industry 4.0 solutions in selected areas of the company's activity. The theoretical discussion in the presented work was supported by research conducted among Polish enterprises from the SME sector.
