The War Room and Critical Space Infrastructures

Abstract:

Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) theory offers a multidisciplinary framework to describe, characterize and analyze complex socio-technical systems in a way that provides decision makers with the tools to ensure business continuity and quality of life in the context of a challenging security environment. Modelling and simulation capabilities are an important tool both for researchers, decision makers, policy makers and implementers. This article proposes that the latest developing branch of the CI taxonomy, critical space infrastructures, need to be included in modeling and simulation efforts, keeping in mind their specificities, in order to achieve optimal systemic perspectives for security governance
