Abstract:

relations have been examined in this article. An analysis of modern theoretical approaches and treatments of economic diplomacy is also provided. According to the autors, a distinctive feature of economic diplomacy is integration of political and economic international relations instruments, its orientation to achievement of positive effects not only in foreign-economic activity of a state, but also in its foreign-policy aspects. The practical aspects of the research are carried out on the example of the Republic of Mari El. 

The analysis of commercial diplomacy has showed that the Republic of Mari El is actively engaged in export-import operations with three SCO member states as China, India and Uzbekistan. Relations with China have shown a high dynamics in recent years.  The research allows assessing economic diplomacy of Mari El Republic as relatively productive.
