Abstract:

The concept of sustainable growth has been lately used in many fields without being carefully adapted to each domain. The objective of this work is to identify instruments which can be used at a national level in order to monitor the elements which ensure the fulfillment of project sustainability criteria. This paper is based on studies that explore weaknesses in various projects with European financing. We identified the elements able to ensure the fulfillment of sustainability specific criteria and proposed means and tools in order to monitor their fulfillment. We also built a monitoring frame for the projects to be used by authorized institutions at a national level, which will be at the very foundation of the optimization of the evaluation process of projects sustainability.
