Abstract:

My research interests include the investigation of time spent outside of work within the family, as factor of increasing social capital and civic outcomes for individuals and communities. The main data source of the study is Time Use Survey that was conducted in Romania from August to September 2000. The survey provides comparable results with other international surveys as part of the harmonized European Time Use Survey. Regarding this topic, it would be taking in consideration all the sequences that remain available for the activities outside work, mainly personal care activities, and leisure.
